So You Wanna Become A Delegate

The Tennessee Democratic Party has their delegate selection plan available for the 2008 Presidential primary. Its a fairly complex process, so if you think you are interested in becoming a delegate, please read the (rather lengthy) document.

The Party is going to attempt to promote diversity in the delegation by setting goals (but not necessarily quotas) for the delegates to attend. These goals were based on the 2006 Democratic Primary results (yet another reason why it is important to vote in the primaries...regardless of whether there are contested races).

The party considers "youth" to be 30 and under. The District 5 congressional delegation will consist of 3 males and 3 females, as well as one female alternate.

What kinda of showing should one be able to muster to realistically expect to be selected for the 5th district? How many people would one likely need to recruit to come?
